February 23 1944 when (according to telegrams of February 17 & 22 from Beria to Comrade Stalin) 459.486 people (the Chechen and Ingush population) were to be deported to other parts of the USSR, an operation of altogether 8 days beginning at dawn in the lower lands (3 days, 300.000 people), to be finished in the mountains (4 days, 150.000 people), the Chechen-Ingush republic, consequently to be liquidated (telegram from the Kremlin of March 7 1944), is not forgotten.

World Chechnya Day 2010 will be commemorated in Copenhagen in front of the Russian embassy at 4 pm.
